Animal Biotechnology
Gujarat Biotechnology University offers a 2-year full-time MSc Programme that aims to nurture world-class, enterprising individuals in the field of animal biotechnology. Through the application of cutting edge molecular and genetic techniques, students will learn how to optimise animals for high-demand applications in pharmaceutics, industry, and agriculture. A basket of projects will be offered to the students, focusing on the development of a range of products which will keep evolving depending on local and national demands.

- Stem cells technology and vaccine/ antibody production
- Artificial tissue and organ production and associated regulatory and IP issues
- Animal breeding for enhanced performance and traits; avian biology
- Aqua culture and marine biotechnology
- Animal welfare and integrated farm management
- Animal management strategies for anti-microbial resistance (AMR) risk-minimisation and mitigation
- OMICS and bioinformatics
